Photo Essay
Reflection
1. The subject of my photo essay is nature and all its different components. I took my pictures at Blue Hills.
2. I selected this place because I wanted to be outside for my photo essay and photograph various parts of nature. This place doesn't really have meaning to me as it was the first time I've been to Blue Hills.
3. I'm trying to convey the beauty of the trees right outside our door, and the beauty of nature itself. If you just step outside, and take a look around, you can realize how truly beautiful nature is.
4. My pictures capture this "story" by focusing in on all the different parts of nature, from the roots on the ground to the moon high above the trees.
5. I kept my photos in color because I feel like you're able to truly appreciate the beauty of nature. My photos mostly share the same viewpoint/angle, with most of them being straight on. One photo is taken looking up at a tree, and one is taken looking down at a sprouting tree. The lighting was natural, it was mid to late afternoon.
6. I unified my photos by making sure each one had some element of the sky, or an element of trees/dirt.
